These terms apply between you and BR TEAM PRO SRL (IDNO 1018600004310), str. Otovasca 15, of. 2, MD-2023, Chișinău, Republica Moldova, the operator of Calora AI. By using the app, you agree to them. How we handle your data is described in the Privacy Policy.

1. What Calora is

Calora AI is an iOS and Android app that helps you keep a food diary. You can photograph a dish and get an estimate of its calories and P/F/C, find a product in the database or enter the numbers yourself. The app calculates a daily target from your data and shows statistics.

2. The estimate is approximate

The photo estimate is approximate and does not replace a doctor’s advice.

• AI numbers are a guide, so they are marked with ≈. A portion cannot be measured from a photo, only estimated.
• Hidden ingredients — oil, sauces, sugar, allergens — are not visible in a photo. We do not promise they will be recognised. If you have an allergy or a special diet, do not rely on the photo estimate.
• The calorie and P/F/C target is a guide, not medical advice.
• Calora AI is not a medical service. It does not diagnose, treat or prescribe diets.

3. Your account

• Without signing in, you use the app as a guest: onboarding, your target, a manual diary, food search, statistics and 1 trial scan. Guest data is kept on our server. A guest account is deleted if it has not been used for 30 days.
• You can sign in with Apple, Google or a one-time code sent to your email. After sign-in, the guest’s entries move to your account.
• Only after sign-in do you get weekly Free scans, purchases and restoring them, sync between devices and data export.
• You must be at least 16 to use Calora AI.
• You can delete your account at any time: “Profile” → “Data and privacy” → “Delete account and data”. More on the page “How to delete your account and data”.

4. Plans and scans

• Free — 5 scans a week. The week starts on Monday at 00:00 in your device’s time zone.
• Plus — 120 scans for each month of a paid subscription, plus statistics for a month and 3 months. The subscription is monthly or yearly.
• Scan pack — 100 scans as a one-time purchase. A pack is valid for 12 months from the purchase date. Your plan’s scans are used first, then the pack.
• A scan is used only when recognition succeeds. An error, a cancellation or a repeat of the same scan does not use a scan.
• Correcting a result and manual entry are free and unlimited.
• Unused scans of a week or a month do not carry over to the next period.
• To protect the service, we limit how often requests can be made and how many scans can fail per day.

5. Purchases, renewal, cancellation and refunds

• Plus and packs are bought through the App Store or Google Play. The store takes the payment and shows the price before you buy.
• A subscription renews automatically until you cancel it. You cancel renewal in the subscription settings of the App Store or Google Play. Plus stays active until the end of the paid period.
• Refunds are requested through the App Store or Google Play under the store’s rules.
• Deleting your account does not cancel a store subscription — cancel it separately.
• On a new device, purchases are restored after you sign in to the same account.

6. Food data sources

• USDA FoodData Central — the database of the U.S. Department of Agriculture, in the public domain (fdc.nal.usda.gov).
• Open Food Facts — a food products database available under the Open Database License (ODbL) (world.openfoodfacts.org, license — opendatacommons.org/licenses/odbl/1-0/). Calora AI uses Open Food Facts data under this license.
• Local dishes and translated names are drafted with AI and checked by our team.

7. Acceptable use

You may not:

• send automated requests or collect the data of the app or the food database with software;
• get around scan limits, the trial scan protection or the app integrity check;
• upload photos of other people without their consent, or unlawful material;
• disrupt the service or try to access other people’s data.

If these rules are broken, we may limit or close access to the account.

8. Liability

We work to keep Calora AI running without interruptions and errors, but we do not promise it. The service is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for decisions about food and health made on the basis of the app’s estimates, or for indirect losses. Rights that the consumer protection law of your country does not allow to be limited remain yours.

9. Changes to these terms

If the terms change, we will update this page and the date at the top. We will tell you about significant changes in the app. If you do not agree with the new terms, you can delete your account.

10. Governing law and contact

Governing law: the laws of the Republic of Moldova. This does not take away the protection that the mandatory rules of your country of residence give you.
